Company One Professional Development for Actors (Virtual Edition) Spring 2020
I was hired by Company One in Boston to co-instruct the Company One Professional Development for Actors course with Rosalind Thomas Clark and Victoria Marsh. Together we built an intensive 8 week virtual course that allowed participants to strengthen audition monologues and build community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Please check out the final showcase performance, and check the Company One website periodically to register for future classes. |

How do we understand art as a tool by which we get free? What models are needed for people of color to create liberatory art? And how can art help heal the damage done by white supremacy between communities of color?
These are some of the questions we asked during the Collective Liberation and Performance For Folx of Color Workshop at the University of the Arts. I co-facilitated this workshop with my collaborator Daniel Park. We worked closely with students who identify as people of color. In this one week workshop, participants explored the potential for collective liberation that can be found in all aspects of art making, from creation to production. If interested in booking this workshop for your college/university, youth organizations, or conferences, please don't hesitate to reach out about pricing and availability. |
