Company One BosTEEN Directing Workshop Worksheet
In July of 2014, I worked as a member of the Street Team for Company One (C1). As a member of the Street Team, I proposed an event intended to turn the first Wednesday performance of each production into a night that welcomed youth artists and youth organizations from across Boston. From 2014 to 2016, I produced eight BosTEEN Artist events in Boston. As BosTEEN developed, the workshops existed independently from our season productions. Below is a worksheet I developed for the BosTEEN Directing Workshop hosted in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Boston's Mattapan Teen Center. ![]()

Hyde Square Task Force's syllabus for the Teatro en Acción course at Margarita Muniz Academy
In September of 2019, I was hired as a teaching artist by Hyde Square Task Force (HSTF) in Jamaica Plain, MA. This was HSTF's inaugural year hosting Teatro en Acción as an in-school program at the Margarita Muniz Academy (MMA). In the founding year, I spent a majority of my time designing a curriculum with the support of HSTF staff. MMA is a Spanish bilingual pilot school that places an emphasis on Latin American studies and culture. There are three work samples below. 1. The syllabus below shows a portion of the three unit curriculum I created during my time as a teaching artist at HSTF. ![]()
2. Next, I've attached an Afro-Latinx aesthetic guide students in the theatre classes at MMA co-developed so as to share a common language when discussing Afro-Latinx art, music, dance, and theatre. We created this list by observing and analyzing the work of Afro-Latinx artists.

3. Once we made a transition to virtual learning as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, I created worksheets like the sample below to continue instruction asking students to analyze scripts like Water By The Spoonful online. (Please forgive the formatting of the work sample below, when exported as pdf the margins are cropped slightly.)
